Terms for Shipping and Privacy

When will my order ship?

Orders will ship within 48 hours if they are received Monday through Thursday.  Orders placed on Fridays will ship on the following Monday. All orders will go through USPS with tracking.

Do you allow for special orders?

Special orders for full bolts of specific fabrics will require a 50% deposit when you order, and the remaining balance when the bolt comes in.  Other special orders will be considered (notions, books, patterns, etc...) on a case by case basis. Please email your request to cottonpatchofdrummond@outlook.com.

Can you ship internationally?

Happy to ship internationally, though the shipping rates will vary by country and all taxes and fees will be paid by the customer. We typically ship to Canada, the UK and Australia.

What type of shipping services do you offer?

The Cotton Patch supports our local, rural Post Office so the USPS is our shipping service of choice.

When will I receive my package?

Because The Cotton Patch uses USPS most packages will be delivered within 7-10 business days. There is always the possibility of a quicker delivery, however the Covid-19 situation has made shipping times a little less predictable. Mailing is done before 3:00pm T-F.

The Post Office is closed on Saturdays here in Drummond. Unfortunately next day air (through USPS) is not available.

What is your return policy?

While the goal here at The Cotton Patch is to provide the very best customer service, sometimes things happen.

Happy to help resolve issues around damaged goods, but there will be no returns on books, patterns or cut yardage. Books and patterns are copyrighted materials, The Cotton Patch supports the authors and designers of copyrighted materials.

If there is damage, please call the shop (406 288 3154) and we will address the problem. For color issues, please make use of the sample option offered here at The Cotton Patch. Dye lots change, color on a computer screen is rarely the same as the color of the actual fabric.  It may take a few extra days, but samples are a great way to insure that your purchase is what you expect.

Not much is certain in life, but you can bet that taxes are here to stay.  If your state/area collects a sales tax, so does The Cotton Patch.  If you are here in Montana and/or buying in the store, there is no sales tax, Montana does not currently collect a sales tax.  Taxes, Customs fees, and Duties/Tariffs will depend on the country or state where you are receiving your goods.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, EnRoute, JCB. Local Checks and Cash are accepted in store only.

Classes are taught by the staff here at The Cotton Patch.  There are times when we bring in special teachers to offer a specific skill, these will be advertised well in advance.

Do you rent out the sewing space?

The classroom space is available for rent.  There are five tables and design walls downstairs plus two cutting tables and lots of ironing boards and irons.  There is a maximum number of 5 people at this time. The cost is $25.00 for a day from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.

What is your class cancelation policy?

Life happens and sometimes you need to back out of a class.  We ask that you let us know one week in advance (sooner is nice too) if you need to cancel a place in a class.  Refunds will be given if you cancel 1 week before the class, a store credit for a future class will be offered for those cancelations placed after that time.
